Inverted Dragon Egg
Inverted Dragon Egg began when I read that sea urchins were dragon eggs. I imagined a regal ‘yolk’ with a baby dragon embryo floating and growing inside a rough shell. When I finished it the inside was not sufficiently visible so it is presented inside out.
The outer is made from red velvet stitched with embroidery threads. The inside (shell) is hessian with machine embroidery and press studs.
